Christ Centered Change (CCC)
1. What is Christ-Centered Change (CCC)?
CCC is an amazing journey in an open-group counseling type of setting that is designed to equip and empower people with the necessary tools to affect permanent life-change. Thinking drives our behavior. Therefore, a primary goal of CCC is to teach & model “how to” practically & effectively “take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ” (2 Cor. 105b). It is our belief that through openness and receptivity to feedback, practicing spirital disciplines, completing thinking reports & journaling exercises, learning to identify thought distortions, red flag situations, & interventions; and MOST importantly, doing so in a Biblically–based, grace–oriented, and Spirit–empowered manner; you CAN change the way you think and behave.
2. Why do I need it?
Due to the effects of hurt, pain, & sin, we view life through a broken & distorted lens. If we can learn to identify the root cause of our distorted thinking & the lies we’ve believed we can then learn how to align our thinking and behavior with the truth of God’s Word, character, & nature.
3. How will this class help me?
• Freedom from hurt, pain, & addiction
• Pro-social Thinking and Behavior
• Personal, Spiritual, & Emotional Growth
• Improved Communication Skills and Enhanced Relationships
